Introduction

Students aiming to enter India’s top engineering and medical schools have relied on coaching classes to help them pass their entrance examinations for years. This typically involves physically attending the classes where they learn from competent lecturers who guide students through the examination structure and curriculum. However, there is a widespread belief that candidates must enroll in an offline coaching facility in order to pass the entrance exams. But is it really mandatory? In this blog on education, we will be breaking the myth for IIT JEE/NEET online coaching and present rational reasons why online teaching can be more beneficial than attending an offline coaching institute. We’ll also look at how, if done correctly, online coaching can be more effective than traditional coaching.

Is Online IIT JEE/ NEET Preparation Beneficial?

Here are a few of the most typical misconceptions about online coaching:

No Personalised Online Tutoring

Personalization of online tutoring is possible. During class, the instructor can participate in dialogue with the learners not restricted to subject-related topics, and they can interact via video and chat. Students and teachers can present themselves in the classroom and, like in a traditional classroom, form personal bonds over time.

There is no exchange of information with the instructor or other learners

Because there are so many educational service providers offering online lectures under the name of JEE/NEET preparation, some parents and students mistake it for online coaching. This isn’t correct. The fact that online coaching does not allow for two-way contact between teachers and students sends the wrong message. Online coaching allows for a lot of interaction between students and professors.

Students cannot ask any doubts or queries

The truth is that now that the fear of speaking in front of a large group of students is gone, there will be more involvement in online classrooms; for introverted learners, it doesn’t get any better than this. Online learning provides a safe environment in which cultural and social barriers are reduced and the sharing of ideas and experiences is simplified. Because their concerns are alleviated, students become more openly involved in online classes.

Online training does not allow students to learn from their classmates

In online learning, studying from peers is difficult. Physical hangouts after lessons may not be possible with learners from all over the county and even abroad. After the lesson, students can interact with each other in breakout areas, virtual meetups, and conversation groups to make online classes more productive.

The lecturer is always unavailable

Teachers can meet with students for talks and give immediate feedback on each student’s performance. Students can communicate with them by email, text messages, video chat, and other means.

Students have less time to devote to online learning

In general, online coaching will take the same amount of time as traditional classrooms, if not more. Online tutoring eliminates the need for traveling, which saves a lot of time. The ability to schedule online courses according to student needs in personalized courses is an extra benefit.

Assessment, feedback, and analysis not included in online coaching

Incorporating assessments into online courses is simple. Classes normally start from Level 1 until the end of the course. Level 2 exams employ online practice exams, practice tests, and other test series. Teachers must be able to analyze performance based on the indicator identified. As a result, online education can be evaluated, just like a regular classroom, if the platform includes an assessment technique.

Online coaching is significantly different from traditional coaching

Many of the same design components exist in both traditional and online coaching (objectives, teaching tactics, doubt clearing, two-way conversations), and both employ lectures and have a specified meeting area where learners engage with the teacher and other students. Traditional classroom coaching includes the same performance objectives as online coaching, as well as the same criteria and tasks.

Every form of online learning is the same

The variations among online coaching, webinars, e-learning, recorded lectures, and virtual classrooms are based on how much interaction there is between the teachers and students, as well as if the goal is to exchange knowledge or enhance performance.

It should not be difficult to follow online training. A well-designed online program has the following features:

  • Training aims and objectives
  • A course map that is simple to navigate.
  • Separate modules, each with its own set of requirements, instructions, accessibility, and resources.
  • Timelines for submitting work, as well as simple means for doing so.

To Conclude

Given all of the advantages of online coaching classes, it is reasonable to assume that this method is an excellent substitute for traditional classes. There’s a lot to be said about the advantages of online coaching versus traditional in-person instruction. But one thing is certain: it’s here to stay. As more students become familiar with this new form of learning, the number of students opting to sit IIT JEE and NEET exams in this manner is likely to rise. Students who live in areas where such things are not readily available can feel much better knowing that there are other possibilities available.
